They were arrested for dancing to the song.
According to an exclusive report on August 11th, three North Korean soldiers in their 20s were arrested for dancing to BTS' 'Blood Sweat & Tears.' It was when they were on the tour to Mount Baekdu with their fellow North Korean soldiers.
It's said that the three soldiers danced to 'Blood Sweat & Tears' during an entertainment event when their train bound for Hyesan from Pyongyang suddenly stopped due to a power outage. As soon as they were caught dancing to the South Korean group's song, members of the Defense Security Agency dragged them away. The three were arrested for being "influenced by decadent South Korean propaganda."
Defending themselves during the investigation, the three soldiers claimed that they did not know that the dance was from BTS and stated that they had learned the dance from within the unit and was only copying 'Exciting Boy Scout Dance' that was popular in North Korea.
As other soldiers saw how the three were dragged after caught dancing to 'Blood Sweat & Tears,' the incident will be reported in detail to the superiors, and the whole North Korean military can be up for assessment.
Regarding this, Netizens have expressed their opinions in a heated discussion in various online communities. Several of the comments read, "It's so scary that you cannot even dance as you like," "So, they keep their eyes on you even during the entertainment event?" "I really hope that the three soldiers are okay," and more.
What are your thoughts about this, ladies and gentlemen?
