K-Pop Groups Who Debuted on the Same Day, but Years Apart

With how many K-pop groups debut each year, it's nearly impossible to find a date that hasn't seen a debut in a previous year.

Here are some K-pop groups from different years, and even generations, who debuted on the same day and month!

H.O.T and DAY6

These 2 groups from different K-pop generations both debuted on September 7. H.O.T. debuted in 1996 with the songs 'Warrior's Descendant' and 'Candy.' DAY6 later debuted in 2015 with their song 'Congratulations.' 19 years separate these September 7 debuts, and it's amazing to see how much the trends have changed over time!

Baby V.O.X, Teen Top, HINT, and gugudan's SEMINA

July 10 has been a big day for K-pop over the years, seeing the debut of 4 different groups over a span of 21 years. Baby V.O.X debuted in 1997 with the song 'Hair Cut,' Teen Top in 2010 with 'Clap,' HINT (originally called TURAN) in 2013 with "Shotgun,' and gugudan's subunit SEMINA in 2018 with their self-titled single.

Fin.K.L, SHINee, Girls' Alert, and S2U

Another popular day is May 25, with debuts spanning the 19 years between 1998 and 2017. The first debut was Fin.K.L in 1998 with their single 'Blue Rain.' SHINee then debuted on the same day in 2008 with their EP and single titled 'Replay.' HINT and S2U both debuted on the same exact date in 2017, with their singles 'Dreamgirls' and 'ZZZ,' respectively.

G.O.D and Dreamcatcher

G.O.D and Dreamcatcher both debuted on January 13 and with an 18-year gap. G.O.D released their first album with the title track 'To Mother' in 1999. Dreamcatcher, re-debuting with the members of MINX and two additional girls, then made their spooky debut on Friday the 13th in 2017 with their song 'Chase Me.'

Epik High, ATEEZ, PinkFantasy, and ARIAZ

October 24th has seen the debuts of 4 groups over a span of 16 years. Epik High debuted in 2003 with their album 'Map of the Human Soul.' ATEEZ and PinkFantasy then debuted on the same exact day in 2018. ATEEZ released their EP 'Treasure: EP.1: All to Zero' with the title tracks 'Pirate King' and 'Treasure,' while PinkFantasy released their digital single 'Iriwa.' Then in 2019, ARIAZ debuted with their EP 'Grand Opera' and title track 'Moonlight Aria.'

It's amazing to think that one's group debut can be another group's anniversary!
